Holiday lights
Each year, MMWA holds a holiday light recycling drive from November 15 – January 15. The project kicks off on America Recycles Day – November 15 – just as many people are pulling out their holiday decorations for the season. All sizes, styles, and colors of indoor and outdoor string lights can be donated.
Residents can drop off their lights at fourteen locations throughout Saginaw County, plus a Gratiot County drop-off site at the Wheeler Township Office. Collection bins can be found at:

However, if you do opt to put light strings out curbside, they must be placed with your trash, as the lights are not recyclable via the curbside recycling program.
